LAST PAGES OF THE FINAL BATTLE...

Here are the last pages of The Final Battle. I will continue with the comics next month with issue no 7 which was originally published in January of 1978.

In The Italian's Virgin Princess Joelle's fiance Leo Borgarde has caught up with her in New Orleans 11 months after she left Melio. Rumors had been circulating that a woman who looked a lot like the Princess was a nightclub singer and disbelieving it went to check it out only to find out that it was true that his fiance was indeed singing in a nightclub. For Joelle, she'd had 11 months of "freedom" from the rigors of being royal and finding out what it felt like to be a "normal" person. Her mother, who wa from that area ha been a pop star before she'd met and married Joelle's father. Joelle couldn't figure out why her mother gave up her freedom for the bar of, for all intents and purposes, a gilded cage.

For his part, the prince isn't very happy at finding that the rumors are true. For one thing, the palace staff of Melio, including the king, had lied to him. They'd known where she was all along but kept telling him she was in Europe attending university. For another, when he saw Joelle's less than conservative performance, he was displeased, to put it mildly. She had all the eyes of the men on her during her performance and the outfit she was wearing, well, lets just say a future queen wouldn't be caught dead wearing it.

The paper doll for today is a Boots from 1943.

This one is from the Mostly Paper dolls blogspot.  I had found this one before I got the above paper doll so had not idea what the colors of her outfits were.
