In The Greek's Royal Mistress Demetrius is teaching Chandal how to protect herself. Giving her self defense lessons all the while becoming more and more attracted to her and both of them fighting the attraction that is developing between them. Demetrius has intercepted some "love letters" from a "fan" of hers that has ended in a threatening tone. With her being on the island and it so isolated and well guarded the person can't get to her but she can't stay on the island forever. She has a daughter, Lilly, that she desperately wants to return to but until the threat to her life is alleviated, Demetrius isn't going to let her off "the Rock" as he calls his island.
