Normally I would post just six pages but since there were only three left to do I decided to go ahead and post the rest of Issue one now instesd of next time. I find it amusing that Luke looks nothing whatsoever like Mark Hamill. In fact, in the comic version he looks older than he is supposed to be.
My favorite panel has to be the one of Luke looking so angry and he certainly isn't young looking. Didn't they have any photos from the movie to work from? The artists could have at least TRIED to make Luke resemble Mark Hamill.
I've been working on the paper doll of Leia featuring costumes from the Star Wars comics. I'm coloring her as I go along. I am tracing over her in Photoshop which is a lot easier than rescanning her again. It takes more time since I don't have a stylus and use the mouse to draw with but I've gotten pretty good at it. I want to add a different border. I wasn't happy with the old one and I think I'll add the reference photos along side each outfit both in the color version and the black and white rendition.
I did change her face a little; I like the newer version better. This set is going to take me a little while to do. I hate to admit it but my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I DESPERATELY need a new pair of glassed but don't have the funds to afford it at the moment. I'm glad for Photoshop because I don't need a magnifying glass in order to do features like eyes and mouths. I have to darken her and i don't dare try to do that with a pen like I used to, I simply can't see the lines anhy more. With Photoshop I can trace the lines without worrying that I'm going to ruin her features and have to start all over again.
Here's another Boots paper doll.
Well so long for now...
Til next time....
ALOHA!!
