KATY KEENE HALLOWEEN PAPER DOLL

Katy Keene Magazine Number 7 Fall 1982
Art by John S. Lucas from 1980's comic

Before October completely slips by for another year, thought I'd share a few Katy Keene pin-ups along with a paper doll for this month that I have in my collection. I've been slowly culling my collection down. I have pretty much exhausted all the bi-monthly comics from the 1950's I have four left to list on Ebay.  I have several Halloween pin-ups of Katy from the 80's. As far as I know there were never any Halloween themed paper dolls of Katy in any of the comics from the 50's. I had every single Katy comic but No. 1  Aand although there were pin-ups that had a Halloween theme, they never featured a paper doll that was exclusively for All Hallows Eve.  I'm thinking about creating a paper doll of my own for next year featuring some "spooky" costumes from the Katy Keene comics.

I love the pin-up at the left drawn by John S. Lucas. I redid is so it would be easier to print out. It's actually rather on the small size as scans go. I had shared it on Webshots when that site was up and couldn't find my original. I don't want to have to do it all over again since making it easier to print is tedious and takes time. There was a version that I left in black and white but, like the above, I can't find my original, otherwise I would be posting it as well.

Well I will make this a short posting and proceed to share a
Halloween paper doll of Katy from one of the comics of the 1980's. As good an artist as John Lucas is, I do prefer the "classic" Katy of the 40's and 50's to the more modern recreation of her.

Until next time....                                ALOHA
