Today we had a moving company come out and give us an estimate on how much it will cost us to move. We don't want to to but the owners of the house have told us that they want to sell all their homes. We are good renters, always paid the rent, never missed a month but after 17 years, we will have to move else where.
With my recovering from a stroke, we are TRYING to rent another house. I cannot live in an apartment. Most of the apartments are upstairs, and unless I want to take a chance of breaking something, I cannot try and walk up a long flight of stairs.
So we are TRYING to find someone who'll rent a home to us. We've enquired about a few but they haven't gotten back to us. We have to be out by the end of October, so time for us is running out. I don't want to be homeless. I've never been homeless in my life but I may have to get use to it. If it were in another state perhaps I wouldn't dread it, but you don't want to be homeless in Arizona. And where do my cats go? I don't want to find them a new home. It's like giving up my children. There is no guarantee that we can live in a shelter. If we had a tent maybe we can pitch it some place and live in it for awhile. But we don't have one and we don't have a car, so we can't live in it. So we are stuck between a rock and hard place.
We've got five more weeks to find some place, after that I don't know what we will do.
