HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Happy 4th of July!! I hope wherever you are in the country (or world) you are having a fantastic day. 
I can remember Mom and Dad sitting on the front lawn drinking lemonade, (or in the case of my Dad and brother, beer) while us kids ran around waving sparklers and screaming with delight (or fright) when one of the firecrackers would go off. As dusk would settle over the town I spent most of my childhood in, we'd go to the nearby park and sit in the grass and watch the fireworks and we'd always be awed by their exploding in the sky above our heads. Even our parents would be just as enchanted (or seemed to be anyway to my young eyes) as we were. Heavens those were happy times!! 

I'd meant to post before today but just didn't feel like it. I have been busy on a couple of things for the 4th which I'll share today. I took my Live Action PJ, which I bought on Ebay for a smokin' price. She was in near mint condition and was just missing the beads in her hair and her stocking/boots. I dressed her in the American Stories: Patriot Barbie ensemble, gave it a background and I had a 4th of July greeting to share on Facebook. 

I also took my Living Barbie which I also bought on Ebay for a fantastic price. She too was in mint condition but she had all her original swimsuit. Her's was the pink polka dot one with the wrap skirt. There were two variations. She was absolutely perfect! She even had the band that went around her head. I dressed her in the Barbie as George Washington ensemble. I had to Photoshop only one part of her ensemble...the stockings. They just wouldn't slip up her calves so I drew the stockings on. She just didn't look right with bare calves. 
I had fun putting the photos together. The one with PJ could be tweaked a bit more but for the most part I'm happy with how it came out. I left them both in layers so I could change the background in the future, should I wish to. 

Finally I will close today with a paper doll by Lucy Eleanor Leary. I don't have many of these because they are extremely hard to win on Ebay. I don't know the year on this on...probably the 50's.
